Cindy Mao is a budding illustrator studying at Artcenter, having completed her high school and introduction to fine Arts education at Beal Secondary School. She is currently active in the fields of the art of entertainment. As for her, illustration is the best way to tell a novel story to the audience with shapes and colors. She is currently trying to explore some subjects that she has never touched before, and she hopes to bring an empty idea to life through her unique creativity and engaging stories.
Besides painting, she also studied pottery, sculpture, animation, and photography in high school. These experiences have enabled her to have more innovative abilities and integrate more techniques in illustration.
The diverse creativity and unique style of animation attracted her to study art. A few years later, an illustration of a game's artwork absorbed her in the industry of concept art and established her art style. Since then, artworks she saw, regardless of style and author, have been her inspiration, not just drawings, but also a photograph, a building, or a plant. There is always something to be learned from everything, she believed.
As an illustrator, she thinks that it is essential to express oneself through pictures and words and to infect the audiences and express their hearts. She also documented her progress in speaking and writing at school. As becoming a better artist, she is also becoming a better writer.
